Jesus answered "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."John 14v6.
Jesus the Head Cornerstone (The external Angle) Ps.118v22 and Acts 4v11.
There is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved. Acts 4v12
All my energy and spare time after work went into making music my future. I would record 3 CDs and spend a small fortune producing these to float around to prospective agents. However, with the drastic change in my father's life, I couldn't ignore it and we would spend hours talking about the Bible, morals and the Catholic church. It took me 3 years to fully realise that I too needed to be Born Again. I can remember very well, my father giving me a copy of an old 1880 King James Bible, which I still have. I read this and found its content totally amazing. All the years of being in the Catholic Church, with its many rituals and its repetitiveness, and yet the Bible was so fresh. Later I would seek out other translations and versions, but the King James has and will remain my Bible. As band leader it was my responsibility to not only hire and fire musicians but also to find adequate venues to rehearse the orchestra, sometimes twice weekly. On numerous occasions I was able to secure two different church halls. I distinctly remember one being a Methodist church and one of the elders of that church, for a period of perhaps 18 months or so, never once witnessed to me or my musicians. All I recall him stressing was that "no smoking or alcohol was permitted on the premises." Also intriguing was how our keyboard player was their Sunday organist and he too never shared the Gospel with me or the 17 other guys. One can be "religious" yet not saved. Needless to say, when I got saved, Gospel tracts were sent to both parties and other "religious" people I had long known, prior to my new birth.
BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND YOU WILL BE SAVED Acts 16:31 YOU CAN BE SAVED! By putting your trust in Jesus Christ, your soul will be saved and your life will be changed for the better. The testimonies that this is so, exists in hundreds of thousands of famous and infamous people such as William Gladstone, one of Britain's greatest Prime Ministers whose life was transformed by God. Abraham Lincoln tells us in his letters that at Gettysburg, the day he delivered his famous address, he too, was 'born again' of God's Spirit. Martin Luther had been exceedingly religious, even as Nicodemus was, and yet had known nothing of the 'New Birth'. But all that changed when he discovered these words in scripture: "The just shall live by faith"(Romans 1:17 NKJV) Writers like Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy of Russia, have described the work of God's Spirit in utterly transforming their lives. Men like Chuck Colson, aide to President Richard Nixon and author of the bestseller BORN AGAIN have told of being radically changed by the NEW BIRTH. And whether you live in a mansion or a mud hut, you too can be saved. When the Philippian jailer asked Paul, 'What must I do to be saved?' Paul didn't give him a theological dissertation. No, he simply said: 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.' Think: Not only can you be saved today, but through your life and testimony your entire family can be won to Christ, if they repent! (which is a complete turning around of sinful ways i.e. the old nature) (2 Peter 3:9 CEV). Imagine the difference that could make! Do you have to understand it! No, but you can experience it. How? By placing your trust in Christ today.
Uplifting Power Acts_3:1-10 Peter and John differed greatly, in age, in gift, and in point of view. They had been rivals; now they walked together. It was at three in the afternoon that this incident took place. As they climbed the Temple steps, they must have spoken of the many times that the Master had walked at their side. But they realized, too, that He was still as near as ever; and so they became the means of linking this withered man to His glorious health-giving power. It was because Jesus went with them that the healed man was able to become the fourth of the group. The gate was beautiful, but it could not heal. More is needed than beauty or art. We may have neither the silver of profound intellect, nor the golden speech of Chrysostom, but we must see that we have something to give to a paralyzed and perishing world. Let us so move among men as to lead them to expect that we have something to give, and then.......... give them Jesus. The lame man needed strength, and this is the divine gift of the gospel. “It is the power of God unto salvation.” The Savior makes us able to walk and leap in God’s ways. ACTS 3:1-26 Act 3:1 One day at three o'clock in the afternoon, Peter and John were on their way into the Temple for prayer meeting. Act 3:2 At the same time there was a man crippled from birth being carried up. Every day he was set down at the Temple gate, the one named Beautiful, to beg from those going into the Temple. Act 3:3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter the Temple, he asked for a handout. Act 3:4 Peter, with John at his side, looked him straight in the eye and said, "Look here." Act 3:5 He looked up, expecting to get something from them. Act 3:6 Peter said, "I don't have a nickel to my name, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!" Act 3:7 He grabbed him by the right hand and pulled him up. In an instant his feet and ankles became firm. Act 3:8 He jumped to his feet and walked. The man went into the Temple with them, walking back and forth, dancing and praising God. Act 3:9 Everybody there saw him walking around and praising God. Act 3:10 They recognized him as the one who sat begging at the Temple's Gate Beautiful and rubbed their eyes, astonished, scarcely believing what they were seeing. Act 3:11 The man threw his arms around Peter and John, ecstatic. All the people ran up to where they were at Solomon's Porch to see it for themselves. Act 3:12 When Peter saw he had a congregation, he addressed the people: "Oh, Israelites, why does this take you by such complete surprise, and why stare at us as if our power or piety made him walk? Act 3:13 The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his Son Jesus. The very One that Pilate called innocent, you repudiated. Act 3:14 You repudiated the Holy One, the Just One, and asked for a murderer in his place. Act 3:15 You no sooner killed the Author of Life than God raised him from the dead--and we're the witnesses. Act 3:16 Faith in Jesus' name put this man, whose condition you know so well, on his feet--yes, faith and nothing but faith put this man healed and whole right before your eyes. Act 3:17 "And now, friends, I know you had no idea what you were doing when you killed Jesus, and neither did your leaders. Act 3:18 But God, who through the preaching of all the prophets had said all along that his Messiah would be killed, knew exactly what you were doing and used it to fulfill his plans. Act 3:19 "Now it's time to change your ways! Turn to face God so he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessing to refresh you, Act 3:20 and send you the Messiah he prepared for you, namely, Jesus. Act 3:21 For the time being he must remain out of sight in heaven until everything is restored to order again just the way God, through the preaching of his holy prophets of old, said it would be. Act 3:22 Moses, for instance, said, 'Your God will raise up for you a prophet just like me from your family. Listen to every word he speaks to you. Act 3:23 Every last living soul who refuses to listen to that prophet will be wiped out from the people.' Act 3:24 "All the prophets from Samuel on down said the same thing, said most emphatically that these days would come. Act 3:25 These prophets, along with the covenant God made with your ancestors, are your family tree. God's covenant-word to Abraham provides the text: 'By your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.' Act 3:26 But you are first in line: God, having raised up his Son, sent him to bless you as you turn, one by one, from your evil ways."
This is the most incredible testimony of heaven and hell. Park was a gang member when he was in his 20s and 30s in South Korea. He spent time for 100 days in prison due to getting drunk and riding his motorcycle in the 1980s. When he got out of prison, his wife asked him for a divorce. He was so mad at his in-law's that he planned to kill them all (8 people) and commit suicide. He had an encounter with Jesus and Jesus took him to heaven and hell the night he tried to kill them all. This experience changed his life completely. James Agboola was a Born Again Christian but when he died, he immediately began to move towards the PIT of HELLFIRE. JESUS spoke to him and he heard GOD's judgement upon his life! PREPARE IN HOLINESS In this testimony, Shaini Muas tells us her story of Years of Demonic Torment and Oppression and Salvation through JESUS CHRIST. Though she was going to Church, She still didn't know the LORD JESUS, nor his delivering power!
There is none righteous (in right standing before God Almighty) no not one; There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
Lord, I'll worship Your holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
I'll worship Your holy name
John 3:13 And no man hath ascended into heaven,.... Though Enoch and Elias had, yet not by their own power, nor in the sense our Lord designs; whose meaning is, that no man had, or could go up to heaven, to bring from thence the knowledge of divine and heavenly things; in which sense the phrase is used in Deut_30:12, and which may be illustrated by John_1:18; wherefore inasmuch as Nicodemus had acknowledged Christ to be a teacher come from God, our Lord, would have him know, that he was the only teacher of heavenly things, as being the only person that had been in heaven, and in the bosom of the Father; and therefore, if he, and the rest of the Jews, did not receive instructions from him, they must for ever remain ignorant; for there never had been, nor was, nor could be, any mere man that could go up to heaven, and learn the mysteries of God, and of the kingdom of heaven, and return and instruct men in them: but he that came down from heaven; meaning himself, who is the Lord from heaven, and came from thence to do the will of God by preaching the Gospel, working miracles, obeying the law, and suffering death in the room of his people, and thereby obtaining eternal redemption for them. Not that he brought down from heaven with him, either the whole of his human nature, or a part of it; either an human soul, or an human body; nor did he descend locally, by change of place, he being God omnipresent, infinite and immense, but by assumption of the human nature into union with his divine person: even the son of man which is in heaven; at the same time he was then on earth: not that he was in heaven in his human nature, and as he was the son of man; but in his divine nature, as he was the Son of God; see John_1:18; though this is predicated of his person, as denominated from the human nature, which was proper to him only in his divine nature; for such is omnipresence, or to be in heaven and earth at the same time: just as on the other hand God is said to purchase the church with his blood, and the Lord of glory is said to be crucified, Act_20:28, where those things are spoken of Christ, as denominated from his divine nature, which were proper only to his human nature; and is what divines call a communication of idioms or properties; and which will serve as a key to open all such passages of Scripture: and now as a proof of our Lord's having been in heaven, and of his being a teacher come from God, and such an one as never was, or can be, he opens and explains a type respecting himself, in the following verse. John 3:18 He that believes on Him is not condemned,.... Whether Jew or Gentile, because a believer is openly in Christ; and there is no condemnation to those that are in Him: and though the sentence of death passed upon all in/since Adam, and judgment came upon all men to condemnation in him; yet this sentence being executed on Christ, the surety of His people, who has been condemned to death, and has suffered it in their stead, His death is a security to them from all condemnation: and they are delivered by him from the curse and condemnation of the law: and having in conversion openly passed from death to life, they shall never enter into condemnation; and this is the happy case of every one that believes in Christ: but he that believes not is condemned already. The Persic version renders it, "from the beginning"; he remains under the sentence of condemnation passed in Adam upon him; the law accuses him, and pronounces him guilty before God; he is under the curse of it, and it is a ministration of condemnation and death to him; nor has he any thing to secure him from its charge, curse, and condemnation: this must be understood of one that is a final unbeliever, or that lives, and dies, in a state of impenitence, and unbelief: because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God; whom God has sent to be the Saviour of lost sinners, and to deliver them from then wrath to come; and there is no other name but His, whereby men can be saved; so that such that do not believe in Him, must be damned. John 3:15 That whosoever believes in Him,.... Whether Jew or Gentile, a greater, or a lesser sinner, and of whatsoever state and condition, age or sex; and though ever so weak a believer, provided his faith, is of the right kind: not an historical or temporary one, a mere assent to the truth of things respecting his person, office, and work; but such a faith, by which a soul sees a glory, fullness, and suitableness in him as a Saviour; goes to him, ventures on him, commits itself to him, lays hold on him, and receives him, leans and relies upon him, and trusts in him, and lives upon him; and which is the faith of God's elect; a gift of his grace, and the operation of his Spirit; and which works by love, and is attended with the fruits of righteousness: now the end of Christ's crucifixion and death is, that such an one should not perish; though he is in a lost and perishing condition in Adam, and by nature, and sees himself to be so, and comes to Christ as such; and though his frames and comforts are perishing, and he sometimes fears he shall be utterly lost; and though he is subject to slips and falls, and great spiritual decays; and shall perish as to the outward man by death; yet he shall never perish eternally, or be punished with everlasting destruction, as the wicked will: but have eternal life; not by his works, but as the gift of God: and which he that truly believes; has already in the covenant of grace, in Christ his head, in faith and hope; and has the earnest and pledge of it, the Spirit of God; and the beginning of it, which is the knowledge of God in Christ; and shall hereafter possess it fully, and in person, to all eternity: even a life of perfect holiness and knowledge; a life of never ending pleasure; a life free from all the sorrows, distresses, and imperfections of this; and which will always continue. John 3:16 For God so loved the world,.... The Persic version reads "men": but not every man in the world is here meant, or all the individuals of human nature; for all are not the objects of God's special love, which is here designed, as appears from the instance and evidence of it, the gift of His Son: nor is Christ God's gift to every one; for to whomsoever He gives His Son, He gives all things freely with Him; which is not the case of every man. Nor is human nature here intended, in opposition to, and distinction from, the angelic nature; for though God has showed a regard to fallen men, and not to fallen angels, and has provided a Saviour for the one, and not for the other; and Christ has assumed the nature of men, and not angels; yet not for the sake of all men, but the spiritual seed of Abraham; and besides, it will not be easily proved, that human nature is ever called the world: nor is the whole body of the chosen ones, as consisting of Jews and Gentiles, here designed; for though these are called the world, John_6:33; and are the objects of God's special love, and to them Christ is given, and they are brought to believe in him, and shall never perish, but shall be saved with an everlasting salvation; yet rather the Gentiles particularly, and God's elect among them, are meant; who are often called "the world", and "the whole world", and "the nations of the world", as distinct from the Jews; see Rom_11:12, compared with Mat_6:32. The Jews had the same distinction we have now, the church and the world; the former they took to themselves, and the latter they gave to all the nations around: hence we often meet with this distinction, Israel, and the nations of the world; on those words, ""let them bring forth their witness", that they may be justified, Isa_43:9 (say (b) the doctors) these are Israel; "or let them hear and say it is truth", these are "the nations of the world".'' And again (c), "the holy, blessed God said to Israel, when I judge Israel, I do not judge them as "the nations of the world":'' and so in a multitude of places: and it should be observed, that our Lord was now discoursing with a Jewish Rabbi, and that he is opposing a commonly received notion of theirs, that when the Messiah came, the Gentiles should have no benefit or advantage by him, only the Israelites; so far should they be from it, that, according to their sense, the most dreadful judgments, calamities, and curses, should befall them; yea, hell and eternal damnation. "There is a place (they say (d),) the name of which is "Hadrach", Zec_9:1. This is the King Messiah, who is, חד ורך, "sharp and tender"; sharp to "the nations", and tender to "Israel".'' And so of the "sun of righteousness", in Mal_4:2, they say (e), "there is healing for the Israelites in it: but the idolatrous nations shall be burnt by it.'' And that (f). "there is mercy for Israel, but judgment for the rest of the nations.'' And on those words in Isa_21:12, "the morning comes", and also the night, they observe (g), "the morning is for the righteous, and the night for the wicked; the morning is for Israel, and the night for "the nations of the world".'' And again (h), "in the time to come, (the times of the Messiah,) the holy, blessed God will bring "darkness" upon "the nations", and will enlighten Israel, as it is said, Isa_60:2.'' Once more (i), "in the time to come, the holy, blessed God will bring the nations of the world, and will cast them into the midst of hell under the Israelites, as it is said, Isa_43:3.'' To which may be added that denunciation of theirs (k). "woe to the nations of the world, who perish, and they know not that they perish: in the time that the sanctuary was standing, the altar atoned for them; but now who shall atone for them?'' Now, in opposition to such a notion, our Lord addresses this Jew; and it is as if he had said, you Rabbins say, that when the Messiah comes, only the Israelites, the peculiar favourites of God, shall share in the blessings that come by, and with him; and that the Gentiles shall reap no advantage by him, being hated of God, and rejected of him: but I tell you, God has so loved the Gentiles, as well as the Jews, that he gave his only begotten Son; to, and for them, as well as for the Jews; to be a covenant of the people, the Gentiles, the Saviour of them, and a sacrifice for them; a gift which is a sufficient evidence of his love to them; it being a large and comprehensive one, an irreversible and unspeakable one; no other than his own Son by nature, of the same essence, perfections, and glory with him; begotten by him in a way inconceivable and expressible by mortals; and his only begotten one; the object of his love and delight, and in whom he is ever well pleased; and yet, such is his love to the Gentiles, as well as Jews, that he has given him, in human nature, up, into the hands of men, and of justice, and to death itself: that whosoever believes in him, whether Jew or Gentile, should not perish, but have everlasting life; See Gill on Joh_3:15.
