3rd February Back to the Bible daily by disciple John
Matt 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Our Lord says we are either a Spiritual person, or a person of the world, and there is no in between. If we have Lord Jesus as our Saviour, then the riches of this world will have no more attraction for us. Our focus, and our priorities are all about the kingdom of God.
Our God feeds the sparrow and clothes the lily, and we are worth a lot more then both of these. We are to seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all things will be added to us. We lack nothing accept a strong faith in our Father.
We should not be surprised that the preachers from Africa and Asia are people of great faith, because they have to work with limited resources, and trust in God. They have a people in their congregation who are mostly very poor, who know that if they are sick and have no money they cannot be treated by a doctor, and they could never afford to go to a hospital. They have no free health service, no unemployment benefit, and no government pension scheme. They learn to trust in God and seek first the Kingdom of God so His kingdom will come, and because of their increased faith, they have more signs and wonders in their churches.

Prayer: Thank you Heavenly Father for your word to us, and we ask that through the Holy Spirit our faith will increase, and your kingdom will come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen
